The Lost Boys Present First Day Back Japan 2026

サンタクルーズの活気あふれる再興中の音楽シーンから轟音とともに現れたFirst Day Backは、大学生活最後の数年間を通して、“エモ・リバイバル・リバイバル”の中で確固たる地位を築いてきた。

第二波エモの正統な継承者として称賛されるFirst Day Backは、Cap’n Jazzを思わせる切迫したボーカル、American Footballの“トゥインクル”感、そしてBraidの若々しい高揚感を呼び起こしながら、ヴァイオリンやハーモニカという有機的な要素を加えることで、そのサウンドを新たに再構築している。過去へのラブレターでありながら、単なる懐古には留まらない存在だ。

2025年6月にセルフリリースされたデビュー作にして唯一のアルバム『Forward』は、Empire Gradeにある彼らの家のリビングルームの響きを活かして録音された。ジャケットを彩る淡いブルーは、その思い出深い家の外壁の色と一致しており、バンドの原点と創作過程に深く結びついている。

この5人組のDIY精神はライブにも色濃く表れている。活動初期はハウスショーやアナーキスト系書店で演奏していた彼らだが、その後はAlgernon Cadwallader、Everyone Asked About You、Jejuneのツアーサポートを務めるまでに成長。各地でソールドアウト公演を記録し、何千人ものキッズたちが、彼らの歌詞の一語一句、そして歓声のひとつひとつにまで大合唱を巻き起こした。
